ADHD Program for Children

by Leah Johnson-Anderson on December 15, 2017

Medical Qigong Therapy for children is an extremely gentle, yet powerfully effective alternative approach to working with children. It is a safe way to approach your child’s health and wellbeing, and in most cases offers faster healing results without having to deal with the harmful side effects of certain prescription medications. Adverse side effect can include nervousness, insomnia, weight loss, hypersensitive (hives, fever, joint pain) nausea, dizziness, heart palpitations, headaches, and muscle spasms, drowsiness etc.

In many cases, the benefits of these treatments include: reduced hyperactivity; increased attention and awareness; improved memory; reduced stressed and anxiety; self-regulation and the monitoring of stressful situations; faster de-escalation times in hyperactive children; clearer communication; increased self-confidence; and a happier outlook on life.

Leah Johnson-Anderson, M.M.Q., is currently a doctor candidate in Traditional Chinese Medicine specializing in Pediatric and Family Care. For the months of December 2017 through March 2018, Leah will be running a new client promotion in her clinic, and will offer 30-minute treatment sessions to children diagnosed with ADD/ADHD & Inattentive Disorders. During this time, these treatments will only cost $50.00 dollars per session, with each treatment program lasting for a time period of 4 to 8 weeks. Depending on the child’s specific condition, the treatments will be performed twice a week, for 30 minutes per each session.

During each treatment, the child will receive 15-minutes Chinese Medical Qigong brain-balancing point therapy, as well as 2 to 10 minutes of mental training focusing on quiescent mindfulness. Mindfulness training will increase with each session. Specific exercises will also be demonstrated for the parents and given to the child to be practiced at home. The more you practice these energetic prescription exercises with your child, the faster you will see positive changes occurring within your child’s behavior and focused attention.

Please allow for an extra 15-minute parent-child interview during the first visit.
